Vultee BT-13 arrives in Germany

Imported from the US in January, Vultee BT-13 Valiant N71502 has been acquired by Phllipp Schroder who will base it at Itzehoe airfield, north of Hamburg. Built in 1942 as 79-801, the machine received a major overhaul prior to delivery, including the installation of new avionics by Californian specialist Vintage Wings & Wheels. The aircraft is likely to have made its first flight in Germany by the time FlyPast is published.
