The National Warplane Museum's Geneseo Airshow, billed as the Greatest Show On Turf, was held over the weekend of July 9 and 10. The weather conditions on both days could best be described as 'mixed', but a full display schedule was nevertheless undertaken at the rural upstate New York grass airfield. While the show featured fewer aircraft than usual, the event retained the same format that has seen it become so popular over the years. Spectators can arrive as early as sunrise and stay until after sunset, and all aircraft are accessible with no fences. When the aircraft are started up for their performances, ground handlers usher visitors away to a safe distance. That said, you can still witness a Mustang taxying within ten feet of you or have a C-46 wingtip move almost over your head.
