US museum completes EC-135 for static display

Boeing EC-135L 61-0269 has been unveiled at the Grissom Air Museum near Peru, Indiana, following a yearlong restoration project. Delivered to the USAF on December 8,1961, its final assignment was with the 305th Air Refueling Wing prior to retirement in 1992. The aircraft had formerly been based at Grissom between 1970 and 1974, and later participated in Operation Just Cause (the 1989-1990 US invasion of Panama to depose dictator Manuel Noriega), and the first Gulf War.
