Can any readers help me with information about RAF Risalpur in 1936 and Malta in 1942? In 1932, my father's regiment was posted to Risalpur, Pakistan, which was a centre for rapid response to border violations around the Khyber. Their battle-hardened horses weren't disturbed by the occasional flights overhead, usually by Hawker biplanes. In 1936, our little group of schoolkids was invited to take a flight. Six of us scrambled aboard a large biplane, took off and had a superb low-level view of our three military camps. I've always wondered what type of aircraft it was? Not a bomber because it had seats and rectangular windows. Could it have been a Vickers Victoria?
