I don't know what "DJ" stands for but I do know that the "3" stands for a series of three model designs employing the recently released Toki 18 Ducted Fan engine and tuned pipe package. The series of three model designs are manufactured by the well-respected OK Model Company in Japan. The .18 ci fan engine is well designed and already proven in the gas model car market. It includes a pull-start as has been used predominantly in glow-powered model cars. The pull-start feature is new to the R/C flying modeler and I find it just great since an external starter with battery is not required and eliminates the need for a starter wand, as in conventional ducted fan installations. That greatly simplifies the starting procedure. The new small Toki 18 DF is a newcomer to the larger ducted fan flyer community and opens a new area of activity for smaller, more compact sport oriented jets.
