Lo-Cal NAVION

The Navion was North American Aviation's answer to the private pilot who wanted to fly a Mustang after World War II. North American manufactured them in 1946 and 1947, and other companies kept up production into the 1960s with different variants. This Reminder Scale version is modeled after the original production. The Navion is very well suited as a rubber powered model because of its long nose and adequate tail. The lack of curves in the wing and tail is a plus for us lazy builders. This profile version, weighing around 6―8 grams, is a dandy flyer. In low ceiling sites the low wing allows it to scrub the ceiling much better than a high wing model. Out-doors in light breezes it just does not want to come down!
