Gordon R. Ince often contributed to Jim Alaback's Old Timer Topics. He quit about the same time Jim did. Gordon's wife died and the prolific builder and flyer just stopped for about four years. He recently met an R/C modeler, Joe Williamson, who also dabbles in scale rubber powered models. Joe got Gordon back into the world and back into his hobby. Almost before he knew it he had produced three new models: Lou Garami's '43 all balsa ROG, Paul Plecan's Grumman Widgeon from the 1940's Air Trails, and Bill Schmidt's June 2004 FLYING MODELS Buster. Jim was disappointed because he could not answer Gordon before he had photos and data on another beautiful rubber powered scale model. Gordon also corresponded with Earl Stahl because he often built Earl's models. Earl was very impressed with Gordon's photos of his designs and told him that the Grumman Wildcat was his favorite model. It is my favorite Stahl scale model too. We look forward to more Ince input in the future.
