C/L Combat

This coming July the AMA is hosting the 2004 Control Line World Championships at the AMA International Aeromodeling Center in Muncie, Indiana. Bill Lee, president of the C/L Racing SIG (NCLRA) will be the Director for the- entire contest and Pat Willcox, MACA Vice President for the World Champs, will be the fellow running Combat. Entrants for the competition will begin arriving and checking in on the 3rd of July, with the competition running from 6 to 10 July with an awards banquet on the evening of 10 July. This is an opportunity to see the best teams from all over the world compete for the title. I am also looking forward to watching some Team Race, Precision Acrobatics and Speed. The United State's F2D team of Ron Columbo, Mark Rudner, David Owen, and Holden Hill will be joined by the current F2D World Champion Mike Willcox in defending the Team title won in 2002 in Germany.
