Horizon Hobby Distributors punches a hole in the war-bird ARF arena with a hardly modeled classic. This P-40E is about 1/7th scale, and is designed to suit .60 sized two-strokes and .91 four-stroke engines. Standard size and power servos will guide this model well, and offer the control authority for not only scale flying, but also sport maneuvers such as snaps, inverted and knife edge flight. Hangar 9 pulls off the P-40E Warhawk with style and features to spare. The key tumbler of this mighty fighting machine has to be the retractable landing gear. Many previous "ready-to-fly" versions of the Warhawk fudged this focal point, and in doing so lost much of the character this famed workhorse had to offer. The Hangar 9 Warhawk ARF offers sturdy mechanical retracts that are factory installed with the bell cranks and linkages sized and attached. This attribute, along with a detailed instruction manual reduces the fiddle-factor down to almost nothing.
