2005 F2D US Team Trials: My home club, the Llano Estacado Model Airplane Club of Lubbock, Texas has been selected to host this year's team trials to pick the US team for the 2006 World Champs to be held in Spain. The dates are the 3rd and 4th of September with the 5th as a backup date in case of weather or other delaying circumstances. Bob Mears has built a spiffy web site with the information you need to plan your trip including pages for: Facilities, Contest Personnel, Restaurants, Motels, The Airport, Weather, Sponsors, and RV Parks. There are approximately three acres of really nice, irrigated turf and three concrete pilots' circles, two are AMA circles and the other one is a regulation FAI circle. We want this to be an exceptional contest that will be fun for all, provide a flavor of West Texas and produce a great F2D team for the USA.
