Kit Bashing is a term invented to describe what happens when a builder or group takes a standard kit and modifies it (usually in outline or appearance), without changing the basic dimensions or force arrangements. Sometimes club members will get together and, using a group of kits of the same model, each member will "bash" his kit according to his own ideas. Then, there will be a contest maybe based on "Charisma" factor as well as endurance. This can be a lot of fun, particularly when there are some whimsical designs. I have rarely seen Dominic Antonelli arrive at our flying site with a model that has not been "bashed" to some degree and Dom's stuff often flies better than the original designer expected.
