Park Flyer is a new buzz word being used to describe the type of models SMALL members have been flying for years. There are so many types of airplanes that fit into the category that there is virtually no limit to the possibilities. For the last 70 years model airplane magazines have published plans and construction articles for rubber-powered scale airplanes that are the perfect size to be converted to three- and four-channel R/C airplanes with electric motors and the new mini radio systems. There is an equal number of model airplane kits that have been produced, but are no longer available, that cover the same types. Not to take advantage of this enormous supply of airplanes created by the most talented model designers of all time is almost criminal. One of the men who has made it much easier to secure plans for many of these airplanes (as well as others) is Charles F. Schultz (910 Broadfields Dr., Louisville, KY 40207-4342). He has redrawn many of the magazine plans, correcting the printing flaws inherent from printing on "magazine grade" paper of gone-by years.
