Kyosho's F-16 Fighting Falcon

First flown (accidentally) in January 1974, the F-16 Falcon has become one of the premier fighter aircraft in history, currently being flown by 24 different countries.rnMany moons ago, when Kyosho's previous incarnation of this wonderful aircraft was powered by the short duration, but light; or adequate duration, but heavy Ni-Cd or NiMH cells, I had one and loved it, so when the opportunity to review this incarnation came along, I did not need to be asked twice!rnMany of you will remember the original, with its YF-16 demonstrator colors and powered by a brushed-AP29L motor turning a 69mm fan unit. Cheater holes were prominent, and given the power available at the time, performance was ... okay. Fast forward a bunch of years and you will find that performance-wise, this version of the venerable Falcon is about as similar to the original as the full-scale F-16 is to an F-86.rnThis version of the F-16 is smaller, with a wingspan of only 23.5 inches, but that's not a bad thing! With a purpose-designed 55mm fan unit and very adequate motor, electron power is provided by a 1300 mA, 3-cell Li-Po which is light in weight, and available at a very reasonable cost.
