At S55, Top Flite's ARF Flite Streak is a low-cost entree into control-line flying. And it is easy to convert it to an ab initio electric-powered trainer. A first step is to mount plywood reinforcements in the rear canopy area so that music wire clips can be inserted and used to secure the rear of a battery. On this plane I also had to add a plywood plate to limit the down-travel so the controls couldn't bind.
