Electric ducted fan aircraft have been making leaps and bounds the past few years with new motor, fan, battery and foam technology. Now, the relatively low cost and high thrust of such aircraft means more flyers can experience "jet" flight. However, some would-be fighter jocks may be leery about their ability to handle such a craft. FlyZone has gone and made EDF life a whole lot easier with the Diablo jet trainer.The Diablo is unique in the electric jet world as it has the ability to grow with your piloting skills. It comes ready to fly with a Tactic FM four-channel radio, battery charger for the included ll.lv 1500 mAh Li-Po, single removable 370 size brushed motor pod and large removable glider-like training wings. The only materials you need are eight "AA" batteries for the transmitter. In the "out of the box" trainer configuration, it is three channels (right stick rudder, elevator and throttle).
