The latest biplane by Curtis Pitts is the Model 12, a 2-place fully aero-batic biplane designed specifically around the 400 hp Russian M-14P radial engine. The Model 12 is stressed to +9-7.5gs at its full gross weight of 2250 pounds with 750 pounds of useful load. It has a 239 mph top speed, a 175 mph cruise at 70% power, and a 65 mph stall speed. Climb rate is 3200 feet per minute, roll rate is 300+ degrees per second; this is a good aerobatic design with a 520 mile range, giving it excellent cross country ability.
