Hello again! By the time this issue finds its way into your hands the heat of the summer will be upon us and we will be wishing for the snow flurries we had here 3 weeks ago ... maybe. Hopefully we (yes, I am including myself) will have done a thorough maintenance of all the systems on all of our planes prior to attempting aviation. I have an airplane that hasn't been flown since last August (multiple reasons), and since I was planning on flying it next weekend I just wrote myself a list of seven things to check over... ugh, and there were issues with three of them!rnIn late May, I made the trek south to Austin, for the Central Texas Jet Rally. As usual, the drive was long, but the friends and amount of male-bovines that were shot more than made up for the up-and-down weather. Not only that, but I learned three new "tricks" for working with bent pins and other things ... that, alone, was worth the trip!
