Hello again! Each year about this time "Safety" issues seem to crop up in the magazines, the online forums, club newsletters and at club meetings. Most of the issues are a rehash of common sense items, usually accompanied by photos of the slashed hands, arms or legs. The photos are not intended to be gruesome or titillating, but they sure do get our attention! Add in the fact that for those of us in the northern climes (and this year we need to include the Southeast) our skills are rusty from disuse! I have only touched a transmitter on three separate occasions since the middle of December, and though I got to fly three weeks ago, it had been 11 weeks since the time before. Yup ... I almost made a big-booboo during my first start sequence.
