Hello again! This month I will continue with a sort of synopsis of jets from simple foamie edfs up to large and complex jets with examples seen at the Arizona Jet Rally in November.rnLast month I categorized the smaller and simpler versions, from hand-launched foamies up to plans/scratchbuilt models and kit bashes. I'll expand this list with some of the larger models able to be flown today, starting with electric conversions. Jet Hangar International (formerly Jet Hangar Hobbies) has produced a nice line of planes designed around the venerable Tur-bax fan unit and a 7.5cc glow engine. Given the essential demise of the glow-ducted fan portion of the hobby, edf has/is expanding to fill this niche. After all, not everyone wants to fly turbines, or has a turbine-friendly flying field near by … and a jet is, regardless of powerplant, still a jet!
