C/L Stunt

The seventeenth running of the Brodak Fly-In went well this year. Ken Armish filled in as CD for the retired Tom Hampshire. I have nothing but admiration for the work that Tom and Ken have accomplished to help the 2013 version flow smoothly from its start to its conclusion on the Saturday before Father's Day. My hearty thanks to both Tom and Ken. The event began as usual with a flurry of activity in the four classes of Profile Stunt. 53 pilots vied for the awards in Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced, and Expert. Racing capped off Tuesday evening. A note to friends of John Brodak: he is now working on the completion of 29 radiation treatments for cancer of the throat. He is taking this quite in stride, and to this date, he is halfway through the process as I write this in late July. Do keep him and his wife, Buzz, in your thoughts and prayers.
