The final report of this years' Heimtextil spreads optimism. After four days' running time the world's largest trade fair for home and object textiles closed down with roughly 92.000 trade visitors from 111 countries. This means an increase of 4,6 % approx. compared to the last exhibition which came especially from Japan, Italy and the USA. Visitors from Germany decreased by 4,9 % approx.. The very positive evaluation by visitors and exhibitors, compared to 2003, gives a clear signal for a change in trends, says the fair report. This year, 3.130 companies from 72 countries, out of which 594 came from Germany and 2.536 from abroad, presented their products to the international public (2003: 3.224 exhibitors from 67 countries, out of which 590 from Germany and 2.634 from abroad). The actual upholstery fabrics carry the " spoil effect" and come along either as soft, voluminous snuggle fabric or as fine and smooth and shiny luxurious material - contrast and ideal completion at the same time.
