A single application with subsequent entry into the design register creates a registered Community design that provides uniform protection in the entire European Union. This Community design is entered and published within a short time after OHIM approves, the application. However, it is possible to defer publication for up to 30 months, allowing newly developed products to remain secret for an extended period of time.
