The first block of 100 Fw 190A-1s was produced by Focke-Wulf Bremen between June and October 1941. In August 1941, the Arado plant in Warnemunde began producing Focke-Wulf 190A-2s—Werk-IMr. (012)5191 to (012)5530. A little later, Focke-Wulf at Bremen, Mariensburg and Ago in Oschersleben began to produce the A-2 model. Werk-IMr, 5425 is thought to be in the region of the 450th Fw 190 and to have been completed in May 1942. Werk-Nr. 5425 was completed with a BMW 801 C-2 engine and was armed with two MG151 20mm cannon in the wing root, two MG/FF 20mm cannon in the outer wings and two MG17 7.92mm machine guns over the engine in front of the windshield. Painted in the standard three colors of RLM74 Grauviolet (gray-violet), RLM75 Graugrun (gray-green) and RLM76 Lichtblau (light blue), 5425 is thought to have been issued with the factory code of "RC+TY." After flight tests, it was probably sent to an aircraft "pool" in which all were readied for Luftwaffe units.
