Sergei Sikorsky has aviation in his DNA. His father Igor designed and flew the first multi-engine airplane in 1913, built world-spanning flying boats in the 1930s, and perfected the single-rotor helicopter in 1939. As a young Coast Guardsman, Sergei was involved in developing and demonstrating search and rescue equipment during WW II, and afterward he enjoyed a long, successful career as a foreign sales representative.
