The pentagon established a new office August 10 to develop and acquire replacement presidential aircraft that will become operational in the next decade. Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisition Frank Kendall said the office will analyze new designs for the Air Force One fixed-wing aircraft and Marine One helicopters.
