How low can you go? That's the question asked in reverse auctions-a scenario where printers/converters attempt to undercut the competition's price for business. Many flexo printers get involved only because a high-ranking customer requests it. Others do it solely to keep presses running, often with results that add little to the bottom line. FLEXO~® surveyed 10 printers/converters to learn their stance on reverse auctions. Nearly all had participated at least once. Among them, most said it was to keep current business. A Large portion claimed they would never do it again.
