Shrink-Sleeve Printing Has Arrived!

During fall 2003, we at McDowell Label-a Plano, TX, printer of labels, tags, decals and flexible packaging-faced a critical decision: to expand business by either renewing our current lease or by constructing a new building. This decision involved looking at new markets that offered growth. One of those markets was heat-shrink sleeves, which was growing at approximately 15 percent a year, in contrast to pressure-sensitive labels, which continued to grow at just 3 percent to 5 percent per year.
