REPEAT PERFORMANCE: GORDON GRAYDON TAKES TOP TWO SPOTS ... AGAIN!

Utilizing two Mark Andy and two Comco flexographic presses at the Harper National Flexographic Center at Central Piedmont Community College (CPCC) in Charlotte, NC, 48 participants competed this year in the 11th Annual International Phoenix Challenge Flexo Skills Competition. The challenge took place April 2 through 4. The two and one-half days of intense competition culminated in breathtaking victories for the Canadian competitors, when the team of Hannah Plavich and Jyoti Brar of Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School in Mississauga, ON, Canada, won first place. The pair of high school students each received a $1,000 scholarship and the Phoenix Challenge Gold medallion. They were also presented with the prestigious Harper Flexo Cup for display at their school. It is the third time in four years that Gordon Graydon Memorial Secondary School has the honor of displaying the cup signifying the home of the current Phoenix Challenge champions.
