About Hydrogen

There are many ways to produce hydrogen, but the most popular way currently is via natural gas. The process of steam methane reforming produces hydrogen from natural gas using high-temperature steam. Hydrogen can also be produced by partial oxidation - burning methane in air. Both steam reforming and partial oxidation produce a synthesis gas, which is then reacted with additional steam to produce a higher hydrogen content gas stream. One of the most exciting promises of hydrogen lies in its ability to be produced from a variety of feedstocks including natural gas, biomass, and coal.
