NAFA Alt-Fuel Survey Responses Reflect 'Early Adoption' Stage

More than a dozen alternative fuels are in production or under development for use in alternative fuel vehicles and advanced technology vehicles, according to the U.S. Department of Energy's Alternative Fuel Data Center. What is well-known is that government and private-sector vehicle fleets are leading the way in the use of alternative fuel vehicles as they attempt to reduce vulnerability to spikes in oil prices and to cut greenhouse emissions. Fleet managers are alternative fuel vehicle "early adopters." As such, their views, as expressed in the just-completed NAFA Alternative Fuel Survey, shed light on current and future alternative fuel trends.
