I've been a NAFA member since 1980 and people ask me why I've stayed with NAFA for a quarter century. You'd think anybody who has been able to hold a job within the industry that long wouldn't need any outside help (or they haven't caught on to me yet). Hmmm, 25 years—a lot of my colleagues are of an age where 25 years represents not only the majority of their business life but also the majority of their life on the planet. Not so for me anymore but what is it about NAFA that has kept me in the organization for so many years? What has NAFA membership meant to me? Is it a Big Deal?
