If you're like many fleet administrators, remarketing old vehicles is not your top priority. (One, in fact, admitted it was his organization's absolute "lowest.") It's not that there aren't options out there. It's more that each channel has its ups and downs, its own costs and returns. It takes time to make it work. And just when you think you've got it all figured out, everything changes. Consider, for example, that more cars are now sold online through eBay Motors before 9 a.m. each day than an average dealership sells in an entire year. And the site has only been around for five years. "Our industry before and after the Internet is about the same difference as when cars came along and the horse took the back seat," said Mark Harrison, president of the National Association of Fleet Resale Dealers. "It's a whole new game, and it's caused fierce competition."
