The qualities that fleet operators value in Volvo cars are the same qualities that consumers have valued over the years, according to Rick Bryant, manager of commercial fleet sales, Volvo Cars North America. "Our cars have great life cycle costs," he said, "and we make a wonderful safety statement." Five years ago the automaker launched a concerted effort to target the commercial fleet market, and as a result Volvo's business in the segment has grown dramatically, Bryant said.
