Even casual observers have long recognized that there is a significant seasonal pattern to wholesale used vehicle pricing. In the overall market, for example, pricing is generally stronger in March than in December. But one must use statistical analysis to move beyond that generality, formulate a fuller understanding of the seasonal forces, and develop actionable plans that improve fleet economics through the coordination of acquisition and remarketing strategies and by acknowledging the proper tradeoff between risk and potential reward.
