When you led the management buy-out of the company in October 2005 did you envisage AssetCo being the business you run today?rnJohn Shannon: Yes and no.Our aspiration from the outset was to 'raze to the ground' the old AssetCo business model and to rebuild a business servicing the demands of the fire and rescue，and broader emergency services.This involved us walking away from ￡100m of revenue the first year of our existence,which some thought crazy and most thought brave.However,we were very determined to create a sustainable business that actually reflected the needs of our clients and we have shaped our services appropriately.
