Road safety on the Clyde

Following the introduction by thernChair of the CFOA Road Safety Group, CFO Kevin Pearson and the signing of the European Road Safety Charter, the first speaker of the day was Brian Sweeney, Chief Fire Officer of Strathclyde Fire and Rescue Service. Brian's subject was titled 'Closing the Loop of Intervention, Prevention and Protection', during which he introduced multi-agency working as both one of the fundamental themes of the day and of Fire and Rescue Service practice in the coming years.
