The Chief Fire Officers' Association has organised 'Flexible working in the Fire and Rescue Service', an event to share good and innovative ways of organising work patterns that are already proving successful in enhancing service delivery in some fire and rescue services. The event will be held in the Hilton Hotel, Leicester on Wednesday, March 25 and will be chaired by James Dalgleish, Head of HumanrnResources in London Fire Brigade.rnDes Prichard, CFOA director with responsibility for human resources issues, said: "Delivering our wide remit, while budgets are being squeezed, requires fresh approaches to attracting and retaining a highly skilled and motivated workforce to provide 24/7 cover throughout the year. It is these fresh approaches that will be shared and debated at this event."
