Sowing the seeds of positive sprinkler legislation

Building Regulations are a powerful tool that support genuine risk reduction in the built environment. However, the level of risk reduction is governed by the level of compliance and how the ongoing maintenance of building specification measures are enforced.rnOn August 3, the CLG issued an initial consultation exercise on the future of building regulations. The exercise was to identify what changes are needed to ensure that Building Regulations operate effectively in the future. Responses, by way of ideas, were required by the end of August. Our view is that contributions may have been limited purely due to summer holiday period.
