In October 2008, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service embarked on a journey of cultural transformation. It was recognised by Chief Fire Officer/Chief Executive Peter Dartford, that in order to successfully transform the organisation, to deal with the changing landscape, there was a requirement to engage, align and galvanise the people of Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service behind a common message, and so the service's Leadership Message™ was developed.
