As the clock ticks down to the beginning of the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, the London Fire Brigade will be further intensifying its work to ensure that it is ready for the challenges associated with the Olympics. However, it is important to emphasise that the LFB also has a responsibility to maintain its 'business as usual' activities and is working on a range of communications activities to ensure staff have access to the latest information, especially in relation to potential road and public transport issues.rnEffective engagement and multi-agency working has been at the heart of our planning approach and the Brigade is confident that it can support all of its Olympic commitments whilst ensuring the rest of London continues to receive the same world-class fire and rescue service and the excellent response times it is used to.
