Working with children and young people

The Fire and Rescue Service has a role to play in tackling wider societal issues when working with children and young people. The FRS has a history of working with children and young people which is supported by the Chief Fire Officers Association (CFOA). For those of us who are close to this work, we are never surprised by the ingenuity and innovation shown by our staff as they introduce new and different ways to engage with a section of society where many of its members feel threatened by the environment they live in and do not always react to the challenge of growing up in the way we would expect them to.
