Babcock's 25-year training contract with the London Fire Brigade (LFB) will take a major leap forward when construction starts on two world class training facilities in Beckton and Park Royal in London as part of its Dedicated Training Facilities (DTF) programme. Babcock signed the two construction deals with Brennan and Britcon respectively. The two unique training facilities will provide two fire houses, a full Incident Command Training Centre and a substantial Urban Search and Rescue (USAR) training rig as well as state-of-the-art classrooms and welfare facilities. Brennan have been working with Babcock for the past 18 months on the Becton DTF which is due to be delivered in March 2014, while Britcon are building the Park Royal DTF which is due to be delivered in June 2014.
