Sir Ken Knight's efficiencies review, Facing the Future, called for closer collaboration between emergency services, particularly for support services, as well as closer working partnerships with industry. As with all Fire Service reviews, there has been some sniping from the wings; which is odd because, as Chief Fire Officer Paul Fuller said repeatedly during his year as CFOA President, all Sir Ken was doing was holding a mirror up to the Service. You told him what you were doing - it's not his fault for paying attention.
