The FIRE Magazine/Gore Research Excellence Award winner will once again pick up a cheque for £1,000, and the best poster entry will be awarded a prize of £250 Now in its eighth year, the awards were created by FIRE and WL Gore & Associates (UK) Limited to recognise excellence in research in the UK Fire and Rescue Service and encourage the continued development of research based innovation and ideas that will help to protect communities and firefighters. The Institution of Fire Engineers and The Fire Service College are inviting papers for inclusion in plenary, parallel or poster sessions. Are you or your colleagues engaged in an innovative project, research and/or development in a fire-related field? We wish to hear from individuals, fire and rescue authorities and other organisations looking to showcase best practice, initiative and cutting-edge research.
