The fire first ethos

As Jeremy Corbyn's election as Labour leader has shown, media pundits know nothing about what's going to happen next. Having faced up to my fallibility in this respect many years ago, this reporter endeavours to stick with what little I do know and hope I'm right, especially on the importance of the Fire and Rescue Service's positive impact on the community. The emergency services consultation is the first step in changing the governance structure for fire in England, one that is perhaps long overdue (see reports and comments from pg 10). However, it does come with certain reservations from this reporter.
