New National Operational Guidance

The publication of the new guidance documents from the National Operational Guidance Programme brings the total number of new pieces of published guidance to 14: an impressive achievement in just over two years. It just goes to show what can be achieved by a national approach funded by all fire and rescue services along with government. There is new guidance on hazardous materials. It has only been four years since DCLG and the Chief Fire and Rescue Adviser's Unit published Fire and Rescue Service Operational Guidance - incidents involving hazardous materials, but already this 623 page document is looking unwieldy when compared with the fresh, accessible, digital-only approach taken by the National Operational Guidance Programme.
