Skelmersdale 'Kicks' scores vital funding to secure another year

The sessions are currently held on Monday at the Evermoor Hub in Digmoor and Thursday evenings at the fire station and are free for all children, both male and female between the ages of eight and 17. This project has become a key part of life for the crews at Skelmersdale Fire Station, with many of the officers working on the station taking an active role in supporting the project. Crew Manager Rory Crone from White Watch at Skelmerdale talks about out how the project has progressed. "The sports centre closed down a good few years ago now and it wasn't replaced with anything, so as a crew we're happy to provide this safe space for them to play and they do seem to be taking to it."
