Fire sprinkler tank inspection and refurbishment service

In 1973 Franklin Hodge developed a range of site assembled water storage tanks for among others, customers in the fire protection market. Development of the Franklin Hodge water tank range included the fitting of internal membrane liners; thereby giving firewater storage tanks an increased design life, as the stored water is effectively separated from the tank shell, thereby minimising the potential for corrosion. There was in parallel a growing requirement in the fire sprinkler industry for reliable, long life tanks to act as dedicated pump suction storage reservoirs for fire sprinkler systems. Key elements of the Refurbplus* service include: •tExternal tank inspection and survey •tInternal inspection and survey following a full drain-down of the tank •tInternal inspection and survey with the tank full, using a remote controlled submarine camera unit.
