The 23rd annual conference on fire related research and developments ('the research event'), supported by the Institution of Fire Engineers and Nottingham Trent University will once again be hosted at West Midlands Fire Service HQ in Birmingham City Centre. The Research Excellence Awards for best presentation and poster will once again be presented by FIRE Magazine and Gore. The Research Excellence Awards will be returning to the research event for the 13th consecutive year and is regarded as one of the most prestigious research awards in the fire sector. Sponsored by FIRE magazine and Gore, the awards are given to the most captivating presentation and posters at the event. Judges will also consider the impact upon Fire and Rescue Service performance and the long-term contribution of the research projects.
