Initially working at undergraduate level, Conor Jordan and classmate Aiden Owens (firefighter with Carlow Fire and Rescue) collaborated on ideas to enhance flrefighting. Central to these concepts was the use of BIM (Building Information Modelling) to improve an incident commander's situational awareness of a high-risk emergency scenario. Now operating within the Faculty of Engineering research group engCORE, Conor is working closely with supervisor Dan O'Sullivan of the Department of the Built Environment on his MSc by Research.
